**Cambodia Shows ASEAN Observers Alleged Thai Encroachment Along Battambang Border PHNOM PENH — The ASEAN Observer Team (AOT) visited a section of the Cambodia-Thailand border in Battambang province, where Cambodia says Thai military activities and agricultural encroachment have violated bilateral border management procedures under the framework of the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), according to a spokesperson. The delegation was led by the Philippine head of mission. According to Defense Ministry spokesperson Lieutenant General Maly Socheata, the AOT inspected the site of a border fence being unilaterally constructed by the Thai military near the border markers No. 52 to No. 54.
