布拉索昆出席外交官培训结业仪式 强调提升驻外使节专业素养

On the afternoon of 31 July 2026, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, presided over a gathering and the Closing Ceremony of the “Capacity-Building Training Course for Senior Diplomats”, organized by the National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR). The ceremony was attended by 121 participants, including leaders, senior officials and trainees, as well as 45 Heads of Cambodian Diplomatic Missions abroad who joined via video conference. His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of the course and highly commended NIDIR for its dedicated efforts in organizing the programme in line with the Ministry’s strategic priority of strengthening the capacity of Cambodian diplomats, particularly in preparation for their overseas assignments. The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of Cambodia's diplomatic service through comprehensive, and rigorous professional training. He also encouraged senior diplomats with extensive knowledge and rich practical experience to continue share their insights through the NIDIR’s future training programmes. His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister also provided key guidance to the trainees and all participants on advancing the effectiveness of Cambodia's diplomacy in an the international stage, in a current context where the world is facing geopolitical tensions and intense competition over security issues, and growing economic uncertainty. He stressed the need to continue the steadfast and vigorous implementation of Cambodia's six major strategic diplomatic priorities as previously set forth. In conclusion, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister shared his practical diplomatic experiences on leadership, effective management of diplomatic mission, and the implementation of diplomatic strategies in a flexible, wise, and proactive manner to further strengthen comprehensive cooperation. He also further emphasized the importance of redoubling efforts to continue safeguard Cambodia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, protect Cambodian citizens abroad, and uphold the country's national interests and international reputation, while encouraging all diplomats to carry out their duties with professionalism, determination, dynamism, and unwavering loyalty to the nation and the Cambodian people.
