Monster Energy has officially entered Cambodia through an exclusive import and distribution agreement with Coca-Cola Cambodia Beverage Company, known locally as Coca-Cola Khmer. The launch adds a global energy drink brand to the company’s portfolio and gives retailers another product to offer in a competitive beverage market.
Two varieties are available: Monster Energy Original and Monster Energy Ultra Zero Sugar. Both come in 355ml cans priced at US$1.35, or KHR5,500, each. Coca-Cola Khmer marked the launch with an event at the Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh.
The drinks are already stocked by retailers including Lucky Supermarket, AEON Mall, Makro, Kh24, M9, VIN Mart, Bonjour, CG E-Gets, Wing Shop, ON Mart and Sovan 2.0. Coca-Cola Khmer said it plans to expand availability through supermarkets, convenience stores and wholesale channels nationwide.
A global brand with a local distribution partner
For Monster Energy, the agreement provides an established route into Cambodian stores. For Coca-Cola Khmer, it broadens a portfolio that already spans soft drinks, water, tea, isotonic drinks and energy beverages. The company has operated in Cambodia since 1993 and lists Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Schweppes, Dasani, Fuze Tea, Aquarius and Samurai among its existing brands.
