**A Young Student Earns a Full-Ride Scholarship in Computer Science in the U.S. PHNOM PENH – Kao Menghorng, a young tech woman, encourages young girls to actively engage in community projects and build leadership skills beyond academic excellence. Originally from Kampong Cham province, Menghorng, a 20-year-old student, has secured a prestigious SHE-CAN scholarship to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science at Syracuse University in the United States. She will leave for the U.S. in the coming months. SHE-CAN is a nonprofit organization that helps talented young women from post-conflict and climate-challenged countries secure full-ride scholarships to leading U.S. colleges and universities. Eligible applicants come from Cambodia, Liberia, and Guatemala and must be between 17 and 20 years old.
